Today I ran the install exec in windows 7 compatibility mode, and it installed. I have attempted to install over and over the printer is known to the network as 192.168.1.172, but when I attempt the wireless install, it never finds the printer. I was told that the drivers are hit or miss on windows 10 systems. I was passed to 2nd level and they worked trying to activate the printer as well. I have contacted HP support, and we attempted to install the software to no avail. Plus, I now have the full feature software working for scanning which I prefer to the HP Smart or Windows Store Scan have been unable to install the software of my officejet pro 8610 on 3 of my windows 10 laptops. Running the installation program in Windows 7 compatibility mode dis the trick. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall allways getting an error that that the printer couldn't be installed on the network. Thanks!
